Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an integrative psycho-therapy approved by the World Health Organization as being an effective trauma treatment.  Over 28 years of research show that EMDR therapy is also effective in treating anxiety, depression, grief, pain disorders, addictions, body image disorders, phobias and more.

Couples Therapy

Couples will say that they have problems with communication, which seem so specific yet vague.  Lack of communication can lead to feeling disconnected and alienated from each other.  The feelings can begin to manifest and  effect intimacy and can lead to irritability and frustration in day-to-day life.

Family Therapy

Are you perpetuating the same behaviors you experienced growing up, or communicating, or not communicating in ways that you could not stand in your own family of origin?  Psycho-dynamic family-focused psychotherapy is key to overall individual happiness and overall functional family dynamics.

Hypnotherapy is proven to be safe and effective in treating disorders such as anxiety, depression, pain control,  and irritable bowels.  You are in control of your own mind and cannot be made to do things in conflict with your moral code or value.  Hypnosis can be very quick and effective in ameliorating anxiety symptoms and may be helpful in extinguishing undesirable behaviors such as smoking, overeating and nail biting.  Hypnosis is used in conjunction with other evidence-based therapies.

Counseling Services

People often have a misconception about mental health and counseling and may avoid seeking help in fear of being judged or stigmatized by others.  It may be a belief that personal issues should remain personal and shouldn't be spoken about outside of the home or family.  If you have had these thoughts or know someone who has,  you may also see that they struggle and can't do it alone.  Seeing a professional objective individual may help to overcome the barriers that hinder a person from living a happy and fulfilling life.  If you have questions for yourself or someone you know, contact us for more information.  You may remain anonymous if you prefer.  Why suffer in silence when help is only a CLICK away.

Target Population

A population often exposed to work-stress and trauma are first responders: firefighters, law enforcement, emergency service workers, crisis workers and military;  they run to help others in crisis but are the population of people in the community that often don't get help themselves.  The residual effects of repeated exposure to trauma manifests in deep-seeded, often silent struggles of feeling disconnected, overwhelming emotions and a low self worth or importance.

One client said, "I feel like I'm in a fog... my anxiety comes from out of nowhere and I feel disconnected from my family."  Providing comprehensive treatment in a privacy setting help to protect the dignity of public servants and their family.

I specialize in complex trauma, adverse childhood and adult exposures, dissociative disorders, anxiety, depression, pain disorders, phobias and addictions.
